Our Safe to Play workbooks have been designed to help children and young people understand what it means to feel safe and unsafe, how to recognise early warning signs in their body and identify trusted adults they can go to for help if they need it.
We encourage you to work through activities in the workbook together where needed, encouraging honest conversations, and helping them feel confident in knowing who they can talk to if they ever feel unsure or uncomfortable.
These resources have been created by British Equestrian as part of our Safe to Play campaign to help educate and empower young people across the equestrian community.

The beginner workbook has been designed to help children aged 4-9 understand their feelings, explore ways to calm down, learn about personal space and identify trusted adults they can go to for help. If you feel that older participants might find this content useful, they can take part too.
